There are currently 23 confirmed Armenian prisoners being held in Azerbaijan, but there are actual data on the forced disappearance of 32 people after the 44-Day War.

According to “Armenpress”, the head of the Investigative Committee, Argishti Kyaramyan, informed about this in an interview with “Lurer”. “At the moment, 23 compatriots confirmed by Azerbaijan are being held; 17 of them are captured as a result of the aggression of 2023. We have factual data regarding the forced disappearance of 32 people after the 44-Day War, which were submitted to the supranational courts,” Kyaramyan said. He noted that there are also decisions of the European Court of Human Rights on applying an interim measure regarding 22 of them, but Azerbaijan denies the fact of forced disappearance of these persons.
